GoPro is excited you are interested in sharing your footage with us. Please read carefully the terms and conditions that follow. This GoPro Awards Content Submission Agreement (the “Agreement”) is a binding agreement between you (“You”) and GoPro, Inc., a Delaware Corporation (“GoPro”).
BY CLICKING THE "AGREE" BUTTON AND UPLOADING YOUR CONTENT, YOU (A) ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS AGREEMENT; (B) REPRESENT THAT YOU ARE OF LEGAL AGE TO ENTER INTO A BINDING AGREEMENT; AND (C) ACCEPT THIS AGREEMENT AND AGREE THAT YOU ARE LEGALLY BOUND BY ITS TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS, DO NOT UPLOAD YOUR CONTENT TO GOPRO.
Employees of GoPro, GoPro’s parent company, affiliates, subsidiaries, individuals or entities contractually obligated to provide content to GoPro are not eligible to receive any compensation pursuant to this Agreement.
You represent and warrant that You own or have the right to license to GoPro pursuant to the terms herein all the video or audio visual content, footage and photographs filmed, captured and/or recorded with GoPro’s digital audio visual camera, products, accessories, or otherwise filmed, captured and/or recorded, including any rights to the music contained therein, including the right to exploit any master recordings and underlying musical compositions as synchronized to the user genereated content and the public performance rights for such user generated content and submitted by You to GoPro through any delivery means prescribed by GoPro (together, the “UGC”).
GoPro wishes to license and You desire to grant GoPro a license to include, exhibit, display, reproduce or distribute the UGC for any and all purposes, including commercial purposes, and including but not limited to the marketing, promoting and advertising of the GoPro brand, products and services, testing of GoPro’s technologies, monetization of content through advertising, subscription, licensing and other means. Such a license further includes, among other things, the right for GoPro to incorporate the UGC in video or audio visual content, text, graphics, artwork, photographs, templates, and other content or materials created by or on behalf of GoPro or its licensees (the “GoPro Network”) to create what is referred to herein as the “GoPro Network Materials.”
This Agreement also governs GoPro’s use of the name, nickname, likeness, rights of publicity, voice, live or recorded performance, autograph, photographs and biographical information of You or any third parties (“Appearances”) as included in the UGC. You represent and warrant that You have obtained the appropriate licenses, permissions, and/or releases from all people that recognizably appear in the Content, including the real names, nicknames, likenesses, voices, live or recorded performances, autographs, photographs and biographical information of such third party individuals, and the owner of any music, images, video, audio, photos, text, or other material embedded within the UGC. If your UGC contains photographs or digital or video images that depict a child that is under the age of majority in their state of residence, You represent that You have written permission from the minor’s parent or guardian to provide the photo, digital, or video image for commercial use.
The terms of use located at www.gopro.com/terms (“TOU”) and www.gopro.com/legal/privacy-policy (“Privacy Policy”) will also govern the relationship between You and GoPro. In the event of any inconsistency or conflict between the terms and conditions of the TOU or Privacy Policy and this Agreement, the terms and conditions of this Agreement shall prevail.
NOW, THEREFORE, for good and valuable consideration, the sufficiency of which is acknowledged, the parties agree as follows:
USE OF YOUR UGC. Submission of Content to GoPro is not a guarantee that GoPro will publish or otherwise use the Content. For clarity, as part of the Licensed Uses, GoPro may use Your Content, in whole or in part or as part of the GoPro Materials without any further approval by You.
OWNERSHIP. GoPro acknowledges and agrees that You retain all right, title and interest in and to the UGC and Appearances, including all intellectual property rights, rights of publicity or privacy and moral rights therein, other than those rights granted herein. You acknowledge and agree that GoPro shall acquire all right, title and interest in the derivative works of the UGC that are contained as part of the GoPro Network Materials.
ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION. You may be eligible to receive additional compensation for UGC that is published on ad-supported channels on the GoPro Network, provided that GoPro has first been paid by such third party platform. GoPro will make the GoPro Network program terms available at www.gopro.com/legal/program-terms. The GoPro Network program terms are subject to change. Likewise, certain submissions may be eligible for “GoPro Awards,” please review the GoPro Awards FAQ for more information.
PAYMENT TERMS. Potential Recipients of GoPro Award will be notified through the GoPro Awards portal by E-mail (via the E-mail account used to sign in to GoPro Awards) and will be required to respond (as directed) to the notification attempt. Potential Recipients will be required complete personal information, payment method and required forms to comply with tax reporting obligations to receive their Award. If a Potential Recipient cannot be contacted by email after three (3) attempts over a 90-day period, or if they fail to correctly complete any of the required documentation for payment, the Potential Recipient will forfeit their Award.
WARRANTIES. You represent and warrant that: (i) You have all rights and licenses necessary to grant to GoPro the rights granted in the UGC and Appearances, including but not limited to rights to synchronize any master recording and or composition used to video , images, video, audio, photos, text, or other material embedded within the UGC, and You will pay any and all third parties who may be entitled to a royalty or fee (including public performance organizations) arising from the Licensed Use of any composition or master recording embedded within the UGC; (ii) to the extent any Third-Parties are visible in the UGC, You have obtained express consent from the Third-Parties to submit their likeness; (iii) GoPro’s use or sublicense of the UGC, Appearances, or Third-Party Materials as contemplated by this Agreement will not infringe, misappropriate or violate a third party’s intellectual property rights, rights of publicity or privacy, moral rights or any applicable law or regulation; (iv) Your agreement to the terms and conditions of this Agreement will not violate or conflict with any obligations owed by You to a third party; and (v) you will comply with all laws, rules and regulations applicable to this Agreement.
INDEMNITY. You will indemnify, defend and hold GoPro harmless from and against any and all claims, demands, damages, liabilities, losses, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from or related to: (a) breach of any of Your representations and warranties in this Agreement; (b) any third party claim that the UGC or Appearances, or GoPro’s use thereof, infringe, misappropriate or violate such third party’s intellectual property or other third party rights and (c) any third party claim that is based on any act or omission of You that results in personal injury, death, property damage or the violation of any law, ordinance or regulation.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. IN NO EVENT WILL GOPRO BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, USE OR OTHER ECONOMIC ADVANTAGE), REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THIS AGREEMENT OR GOPRO'S USE OF THE CONTENT AND APPEARANCES, EVEN IF GOPRO HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. GOPRO’S TOTAL, CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU ARISING FROM OR IN RELATION TO THIS AGREEMENT WILL BE LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT PAID BY GOPRO TO YOU PURSUANT TO THIS AGREEMENT. Notwithstanding the provisions of this Section 8, nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits or purports to exclude or limit the liability of either party for: (a) death or personal injury resulting from negligence; (b) any damage or liability incurred by a party as a result of fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation by the other party; or (c) for any liability which cannot be excluded or limited by applicable law.
GENERAL. This This Agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, excluding that body of law known as conflict of laws. Any legal action or proceeding arising under this Agreement will be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in the Northern District of California and the parties irrevocably consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue therein. You may not assign or transfer this Agreement without GoPro’s prior written consent, and any attempt to do so will be void. GoPro may freely assign this Agreement. The failure by either party to enforce any provision of this Agreement will not constitute a waiver of future enforcement of that or any other provision. Any waiver, modification or amendment of this Agreement will be effective only if in writing and signed by both parties. If any provision of this Agreement is held to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent possible and the other provisions will remain in full force and effect. This Agreement is the complete and exclusive understanding and agreement of the parties regarding its subject matter, and supersedes all prior understandings and agreements between the parties regarding its subject matter. The parties to this Agreement are independent contractors and this Agreement will not establish any relationship of partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency between the parties.
Timing:
The GoPro Line of the Winter Challenge (the “Line of the Winter”) begins January 1, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST) and ends April 30, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. PST (the “Challenge Period”). By submitting a Clip (as defined below), each Submitter agrees to these GoPro Line of the Winter Additional Terms (the “Additional Terms”) and the GoPro Awards Content Submission Agreement.
Who may enter:
The Line of the Winter is open to all GoPro users who are eligible for GoPro Awards under the GoPro Awards Content Submission Agreement and have created a GoPro Awards Account. Submission of a Clip constitutes constitutes a Submitter’s certification that they meet the eligibility requirements set forth in these Additional Terms and the GoPro Awards Content Submission Agreement. GoPro reserves the right to verify eligibility of any potential Award recipient. Receiving an Award is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. All Awards will be given to Submitters only, and the Submitter shall be the individual whose GoPro Awards account was used to submit the Clip. Each video may only have one (1) Submitter. Individuals appearing in videos are not eligible for an Award unless they are also the Submitter of the Clip. If the exact same Clip is submitted by more than one Submitter, the first individual to submit will be the only Submitter eligible to receive an Award. Should there be any question as to originality of a Clip, or in the event that ownership of a Clip cannot be satisfactorily determined by GoPro, GoPro reserves the right to revoke the Submitter’s Award.The Challenge is void where prohibited or restricted by law. GoPro reserves the right to cancel the Challenge or modify these Additional Terms at its discretion. GoPro’s decisions will be final.
Submission Criteria:
All submissions must be raw unedited point-of-view (“POV”) video clips shot by the submitter using a GoPro camera (“Clips”). Eligible Clips must be content shot in the Southern Hemisphere winter 2024 through Northern Hemisphere winter ending April 30, 2025. Clips depicting skiing, snowboarding, sit-skiing, and adaptive snow athletes are eligible. All Clips must comply with the GoPro Awards Content Submission Agreement. For a Clip in which a person is recognizable, to be eligible for a portion of the Award payments you will be required to provide to GoPro a model release from the subject or, in the case of a minor, both of the subject’s parents or guardians prior to receiving an Award.Clips that violate or infringe upon another person’s intellectual property rights are not eligible.
How to submit:
To submit a Clip, navigate through the GoPro Awards portal, located at GoPro.com/Awards, and upload your raw footage from any GoPro camera to the “Line of the Winter” challenge during the Challenge Period or via the Quik app on mobile devices. All submissions are subject to these Additional Terms and the GoPro Awards Content Submission Agreement. To be eligible for an Award, all Clips must be shot with a GoPro camera.
Selection of Award Recipients:
A panel of qualified judges will select four (4) Clips, namely two (2) snowboard Clip and two (2) ski Clip, per month (i.e., each of January 2025, February 2025, March 2025, April 2025) for a total of sixteen (16) Award recipients over the course of the Challenge. Each Award recipient will be awarded five thousand U.S. dollars ($5,000 USD). At the end of the Challenge period, four (4) Clips will be selected two (2) snowboard Clip and two (2) ski Clip for the Grand Prize winners to receive ten thousand U.S. dollars ($10,000 USD) each and their runs will be crowned as winners for the “GoPro Line of the Winter."
To determine which Clips will receive an Award, the judges will consider creativity, commitment, capture quality, and “wow” factor. Submitters agree to be bound by the judges’ decisions, which are final and binding on all matters related to the Challenge. We emphasize luck will play no role in this decision as our judges make the final call relying on their expertise in this field. Be aware the judges will not be required to provide feedback on each video and reserve the right to disqualify any video which is improper, unlawful, or breaks any rules of the competition.
Submissions to this Challenge are not eligible for the GoPro Subscriber double the cash Award payout.
Each Award will be paid out through the GoPro Awards Content Submission Program within 90 days after being selected as an Award recipient.
Award recipients will be announced monthly on GoPro’s Instagram page or on the GoPro Snow YouTube Channel, as well as being notified through the GoPro Awards portal by E-mail (via the E-mail account used to sign in to GoPro Awards) within approximately one to two weeks of their selection as an Award recipient. Award recipients will be required to respond (as directed) to the notification attempt. The failure to respond timely to the notification may result in forfeiture of their Award payment for the Challenge. Award recipients will be required to execute and return model releases and other documents required by GoPro, including personal information sufficient to comply with tax reporting obligations, within a reasonable amount of time, as determined by GoPro in its sole discretion. If an Award recipient cannot be contacted by email after the first attempt to contact them, or if they fail to sign and return any model releases, or other required documentations including an affidavit of eligibility, within the required time period, the Award recipient will forfeit their Award.
The Contest begins on August 1, 2025 at 12:00 am PT and continues through and including September 15, 2025 at 11:59 pm PT (“Contest Period”) and is open to anyone who is 13 years of age or older (“Entrants”) who are legal residents of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico, all U.S. territories and possessions),. Entrants under the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence must have the consent of their parent or legal guardian to enter and participate. Entries received outside of the Contest Period will be disqualified. By participating, Entrants warrant that they are 13 years or older and will provide proof of age if selected as a winner. Such warrant shall be provided by a parent or legal guardian of an Entrant under the majority age in the jurisdiction of their residence. Employees, officers, directors and family members of employees of Administrator and all related and affiliate companies of Administrator (collectively referred to herein as “Administrator”), globally, are not eligible for the Contest. Employees, officers, directors and family members of employees of Sponsor and all related and affiliate companies of Sponsor (collectively referred to herein as “Sponsor”), globally, are not eligible for the Contest. Contest is void anywhere restricted or otherwise prohibited by law. All entries must be submitted through the GoPro Awards Challenge website as described below.
Void in New York, Florida, and Rhode Island if registration/bonding requirements are not met; void where taxed, restricted, or prohibited.
Contest Description & Period
The Contest will inspire the Administrator audience to get creative and evolve their skills using GoPro® or Apple ®iPhone® cameras (or Entrant may submit footage captured on any device and converted using GoPro Quik software (free)) capturing footage, editing footage and sharing stories.
During the Contest Period, Entrants must submit GoPro® or Apple® iPhone® footage of Entrant’s best dance content to http://gopro.com/awards/gopro-your-flow-ovation-dance (“Contest Submission” or “Submission”). "Dance content" refers to original choreography, performance, or movement-based artistic expression captured on video. Submissions may feature soloists, duets, groups, or full teams performing any dance style or genre (e.g., contemporary, hip hop, jazz, tap, ballet, ballroom, or fusion). Performances should highlight creativity, technique, musicality, and storytelling through dance, and may be filmed in a studio, stage, outdoor, or alternative setting, as long as the video quality meets contest requirements and will be judged based on the objective judging criteria identified below.
Content Treatment: Submissions must include unedited, unfiltered, raw footage and must be submitted in the best possible resolution.
Music: If using music, Submissions should include licensed or royalty-free music . Please note that if submitted winning content does not have licenses or royalty-free music, the Administrator may change the music soundtrack.
Content Rights: Entrant must hold full rights to content and obtain any third-party or venue releases, if applicable.
Content Standards: Submissions must not contain profanity, violence, nudity, illegal activities, or content that is defamatory, offensive, or inappropriate for general audiences. Administrator reserves the right to disqualify any Submission that violates these standards in its sole discretion.
WinnersFive (5) Contest Submissions will be selected by a panel of judges representing Administrator and Sponsor (collectively the “Judges”). The Judges will select five Contest Submissions based upon the objective judging criteria as specified below. Winners will be notified via an e-mail from Administrator on or about October 10, 2025.Prize(s)
Contest prizes will be awarded to five (5) winners (each a “Contest Winner”) as follows:
Each Contest Winner will receive: (a) two (2) tickets to the live stage event, “The Show” at one (1) Ovation by DanceOne city during the 2025-2026 tour season valued at $250, and (b) meet and greet with Ovation Artists (e.g. featured choreographers, judges and/or special guests to be determined by Administrator in its sole discretion) during the Ovation by DanceOne city weekend of their choice, and (c) exclusive Ovation x GoPro collaborative merchandise valued at approximately $250 (each a “Prize” or collectively “Prizes”).
Contest Winners will be responsible for all additional costs associated with attending The Show or event city including but not limited to transportation, lodging, food, beverages and any other expenses incurred.

Contest Winners will be required to sign and complete: (i) an Affidavit of Eligibility and Publicity Release ; (ii) Prize Acknowledgement; and (iii) Tax Certification (e.g. W-9) (collectively “Releases”) and return it to Administrator within five (5) days of notification; otherwise, the Prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate Entrant. Contest Winners will be announced by Administrator and Sponsor on each of their company websites and/or social media. Delivery of physical Prizes (e.g. merchandise, tickets) will be delivered to Contest Winners within thirty (30) days , and experience-based Prizes (e.g. meet and greet, attending live stage event) will be delivered to Contest Winners based on the Ovation by DanceOne 2025-2026 tour season schedule, logistics, travel, and availability of Contest Winners.
Contest Winners give Administrator and Sponsor and/or their designee unlimited rights to use Contest Winner’s name, picture, Contest Submission and likeness, globally, in advertising and publicity, without further compensation, where permitted by local law. Such use may include but is not limited to Administrator and Sponsor’s YouTube Channel, Instagram, Facebook, X, other social media channels, dance.one, GoPro.com, and press releases.
Administrator and Sponsor reserve the right to substitute an event of equal or greater value or cancel the meet-and-greet due to force majeure, artist illness, or reasons beyond Administrator and/or Sponsor’s reasonable control.
If a duet, group, or full team is selected as a Contest Winner, the Prize will be awarded solely to the Entrant who submitted the Contest Submission. Only one (1) Prize will be awarded per winning Contest Submission, regardless of the number of individuals who participated in the performance.
Prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged or redeemed for cash. The Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of each Prize: five hundred US dollars (US$500). Total ARV of all Prizes are two thousand five hundred US dollars (US$2,500). Tax Responsibility, if any: Contest Winners are solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes on prizes. Administrator reserves the right to withhold and remit applicable taxes and will issue IRS Forms W-9 as appropriate.
Judging Criteria
Creativity & Originality (30%) – The uniqueness of the choreography, movement choices, and interpretation.
Technical Execution (30%) – Control, precision, and overall dance technique appropriate for the style.
Performance Quality & Expression (20%) – Ability to connect with the audience, emotional depth, and energy.
Musicality (10%) – Use of timing, rhythm, and synchronization with music.
Video Presentation (10%) – Overall quality of video composition, lighting, and clarity that enhances the performance (not production-heavy editing) (collectively the “Judging Criteria”).
In the event of a tie, the Contest Submission with the higher score in ‘Creativity & Originality’ will prevail; if still tied, Administrator and Sponsor will appoint a tie-breaking judge.
How to Enter
You may register for the Contest by visiting [Awards Website] (the “Website”) during the Contest Period and then navigating to the Contest registration page. Registration will require a parent or legal guardian consent for Entrants under the majority age in their jurisdiction of residence.
Throughout the Contest Period, Contest Submissions will be accepted via upload from the Website and, using the Judging Criteria, will be judged by the Judges who will then select the five (5) Contest Winners. Not all Submissions will be displayed, as the Judges will select the best entries, according to the Judging Criteria for such display. The displayed Submissions may be edited, cut-down, modified, tagged and branded with advertising and logos of the Contest Entities.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. A PURCHASE OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. ALL DETERMINATIONS MADE BY SPONSOR OR ADMINISTRATOR ARE FINAL. ENTRY INTO THE CONTEST CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES.
