Jamie Anderson United States

Home Mountain:
Sierra at Tahoe

One of the kindest humans to ever step foot on snow, Jamie Anderson keeps her friends close and no one closer. Hailing from South Lake Tahoe, the ultra-stylie slopestyle stunner first made waves by ousting Shaun White as the youngest medalist in X Games history. That was 2006. A year later, she won Gold. Desolation Wilderness is more than a zip code for the South Lake crew, it’s a way of life. If it was up to her, she’d shine the cameras and explore the heavenly bounty of the Northern Sierras after each new storm. Next time you cruise up California State Route 50, a four-lane highway nearly 100 feet wide, consider that Jamie cleared it and lived to tell the tale. At 23 years old, Jamie is already a seasoned pro, humble as the day is long, and prepared to win gracefully, as she always seems to do. She’s a six-time Winter X medalist, TTR World Title holder and Snowboarder Mag’s 2009 “Female Rider of the Year”. But that’s just icing. Tune in to Women’s Snowboard Slopestyle to see what Jamie cooks up for Sochi. Good money says she takes the cake.
