Grete Eliassen United States

Home Mountain:

Accomplished freeskier. Big air world record holder. X Games champion. Norwegian transplant. College grad. Grete has a drive that few can match and a trajectory all her own. She was the first female skier to medal in both slope style and pipe at the X Games. Having stacked countless contest victories (back-to-back Winter X Golds, four U.S. Open titles, wins at the Euro Open, Red Bull Cold Rush and the Dew Tour), she’s recently been taking her skills to the backcountry in association with GoPro and Teton Gravity Research. Want more? Check out her women’s-only web series, Cold as Ice, with Keri Herman and Megan Olenick. What to look for in Sochi? Her contagious smile, of course.
