The Continuous Photo mode is not supported by the Wi-Fi remote. When you press and hold the shutter button on the remote, it does not record any photos. You can press and immediately release the shutter button, but it will take one photo. If you want to use Continuous Photo mode you must use the shutter button on the camera.
Wi-Fi Remote (Original)
Continuous Photo and Photo-in-Video modes are not supported by the original Wi-Fi Remote.
- Continuous Photo: When using the original Wi-Fi Remote; if you press and hold the Shutter Button on the remote, it does not capture any photos. You can press and immediately release the Shutter Button and it will take a single photo.
- Photo-in-Video: While recording video footage, pressing the Remote's Mode Button does not result in image capture.
Continuous Photo and Photo-in-Video modes are supported by the Smart Remote.
- Continuous Photo: When using the original Wi-Fi Remote; if you press and hold the Shutter Button on the remote, it captures photos (at the set frame rate) for as long as the Shutter Button is depressed.
- Photo-in-Video: While recording video footage (in one of the compatible settings below), you can press the Mode Button once to take a photo without effecting the video recording. The LCD displays (camera and Wi-Fi Remote) will temporarily cut away from the typical video recording time stamp, and show an increase of one photo (as you typically would in Single Photo mode). The displays will then revert back to the video recording time stamp.
Compatible Resolution & Frame Rate Combinations
