The temperatures are dropping, and the sun is retreating earlier; the leaves have turned and are falling from their branches; your trips to the gym seem to be getting harder and harder, and you're starting to wonder if you have enough firewood left over from last season. Yep, it is officially winter in the Northern Hemisphere. It's time to break out the winter jacket, wax your skis and snowboards, track down those goggles you always seem to misplace, and say Hello, Winter.

Travis' backcountry prowess is something of folklore. He finds unrealistically pristine–yet terrifyingly remote–terrain, and rides it like a snowpark at the local ski resort. Watching him is beyond inspiring.
This past spring, GoPro hosted an athlete camp for the Snow Team in British Columbia, where CMH Heli Skiing helped the backcountry crew access some unreal conditions. Travis, of course, did what he does best and used the terrain as a canvas to paint a masterpiece. Even better, GoPro's own Matt Cook was alongside him to capture the magic. This is how it all went down.

As part of the HERO3+ Adventure Series, the GoPro Snow crew embarked on a mission to track down some South American snow in one of GoPro's most viewed snow edits, Let Me Take You to the Mountain. Mr. Travis Rice put down some legendary powder turns, and so it was only appropriate that GoPro package up a few inspiring turns to get the blood pumpin'.

The never-ending search for pristine snow led Travis to the pillowy mountains of Japan last year, where he took some personal time to carve through the unbelievably deep snow that rested about the trees. Frankly, it is powder porn. And we love it. 

Prepare for your mind to be blown. Yes, The Fourth Phase doesn't drop for another year, but you're going to need as much time as possible to mentally prepare for the onslaught of epicness that will blast through your eye holes.
