That’s a Wrap: 2017 GoPro Mountain Games
The country’s largest celebration of adventure sports, music, and the mountain lifestyle took place June 8-11th in Vail, Colorado. Athletes, families, and furry friends alike from all over the world came together at the 2017 GoPro Mountain Games to compete in nine sports and 25 disciplines including: x-country and road cycling, freestyle, 8-Ball, sprint and extreme kayaking, raft cross, World Cup Climbing, stand up paddle sprint and surf cross, as well as trail, mud and road running, dog comps and the Ultimate Mountain Challenge.
GoPro Mountain Games is for more than just athletes. Attendees also had the opportunity to participate in the Vail Valley Mountain Click Challenge sponsored by GoPro Awards, an interactive exhibition and demo area, and the GoPro Scavenger Hunt!
After all was said and done, GoPro awarded six Mountain Click Challenge participants with a cool stack of $150 in cash, including Aaron McHugh, Alex Dobos, Ankit Dahme, JC Pieri, Marc Baechtold, and Claudi Beitsch for her photo at the top of the page.

With the Grand Prize of a Karma Drone, Karma Grip and HERO5 Black on the line, the GoPro Scavenger Hunt challenged attendees to capture epic moments and create a killer story about their GoPro Mountain Games experience using the Quik app. We watched every hair raising and heartwarming clip and this is our 2017 GoPro Mountain Games Scavenger Hunt First Place Winner. Congratulations Lucia Barrantes!
The GoPro Awards team was on the scene at the GoPro Mountain Games and were stoked to recognize Brinkley Davies and Sophie Radcliffe with their first GoPro Awards. The two each took home $500 for their stellar Quik edits (see Sophie's below).
If you missed this year’s festivities in Vail, mark your calendars for the
