Kelly Slater Going for 12th ASP World Title – Tweet your support and raise money for the victims of Hurricane Sandy #GoKelly
BANZIA PIPELINE, NORTH SHORE, HAWAII (December 10, 2012) –
GoPro athlete Kelly Slater is currently charging for his 12th ASP World Title, and for a spot in the history books at one of sport’s most enduring and strongest competitors. Once the youngest ASP world title holder, he’s now ranked as the most senior title recipient, with more victories to his credit than any other surfer.
To celebrate Kelly’s career, and his commitment to giving back to the community, GoPro has pledged up to $10,000 to assist those affected by Super Storm Sandy. To help, simply tweet your support of Kelly’s history making run using the hashtag #GoKelly and we’ll donate $1 for every tweet to Waves For Water to help coastal surf communities affected by Sandy, up to $10,000 USD.*
Also, as part of our support for Waves for Water, GoPro was honored to team up with Clark Little and Kelly Slater for the Kelly Slater GoPro Photography Exhibit at Clark’s Haleiwa Gallery 2 Year Event. Photographs taken by Kelly Slater were produced on canvas giclee prints and auctioned off at the Gallery and on eBay. All proceeds went to Waves for Water.
