All eyes will be on the gridiron for Sunday’s big game, but GoPro is looking up to the skies for its entertainment. All this Super Bowl buzz has us remembering a couple of the commercials that put our little camera on the scoreboard with a staggering 24 million points (and by points, we mean views on YouTube).

In 2013 we hit the ground running with our 30-second spot that unleashed a combo of dubstep and chubby-cheek goodness never before imagined. The GoPro moment culminated with Charlie Ray taking flight and game-watchers getting a whole new perspective on a different type of play—the baby toss.

The following year we catapulted GoPro into the (literal) stratosphere with Felix Baumgartner as he ascended more than 24 miles above Earth’s surface and then broke the speed of sound on his free-fall back to the planet. Strapped with seven GoPro cameras to document the moment, we published an 8-minute full story on YouTube and encouraged Super Bowl viewers to check out the edit at the end of our 30-second commercial from the moment, which aired during the game.

You won’t see a GoPro commercial this year, but keep your eyes peeled for our cameras on the field and in the crowd. We guarantee you’ll see HERO (or our 360-camera Fusion) cameras capturing awesome new perspectives of this timeless competition.
