Content Floater

X Games Norway has officially wrapped up its first year in its new home in the mountains of Øyer. Just in case you are not familiar with the mountains of Øyer, they’re best known for having hosted the Winter Olympics in 1994; that is, until now. After this past week, they can now add host to some of the most legendary X Games action on snow to their stat sheet.

And Øyer wasn't the only one to have a big week. Swedish GoPro athlete Sven Thorgren took home his first X Games gold medal, after going bananas on the Mens Slopestyle course, while competition powerhouse Jamie Anderson added a Norwegian X Games Silver medal to her vast collection.

The pro athletes weren’t the only ones who captured some amazing GoPro content last week in Hafjell. The GoPro Academy visited a local school classroom and worked with 26 of the best future pro skiers and snowboarders of the local school. National TV and newspapers agreed that this was a rad little project and even the mayor of Hafjell joined the group for a chat and a handshake.

Thanks X Games Norway! See you next time!
