Gauges do not appear in Quik for desktop

What’s the issue?

Gauges aren't appearing in the playback window when viewing videos in Quik for desktop.

Where does it apply?

  • Quik for desktop v.2.1 and up
  • HERO7 Black
  • HERO6 Black
  • HERO5 Black
  • HERO5 Session

How to fix it

First, make sure you enabled GPS on the camera. ​If that isn't on, then the gauges won't display any information when watching your videos. To check this
  • Unlock the LCD display on your camera and swipe down from the top of the display.
  • Select Preferences, then scroll down the menu until you see Regional.
  • Make sure GPS is turned ON.  All recorded videos from this point should be recording telemetry data.
Make sure you toggled the gauges on in Quik for desktop. In the general settings, look below the Sharing Permissions section to see the "Gauges" toggle switch.

  • If your gauges still aren't appearing, then close/reopen Quik for desktop. Go back into the general settings and make sure that gauges are toggled on before going back to open a video.
