How to Add Media to GoPro Plus

Upload your photos and videos to the cloud.1
One of the biggest upsides of a GoPro Plus subscription is unlimited cloud storage, and once you're signed up for GoPro Plus, you have four easy ways to store your photos and videos in your cloud storage. You can Auto Upload on the go with the GoPro app, Auto Upload using your home Wi-Fi, log in to gopro.com, or use Quik for Desktop.

  1. Click on the Settings icon in the GoPro app and select GoPro Plus. Then tap Mobile Upload.

  1. Turn on Mobile Upload. The app will now automatically copy the latest photos and videos from your GoPro camera that is linked to the GoPro app and send them to the cloud.

  1. Select Account from the app settings, then tap GoPro Plus, followed by Auto Upload.

  1. Turn on Mobile Upload. The app will automatically copy the latest photos and videos from your camera and send them to the cloud.

Setting up Auto Upload on your home Wi-Fi
This option automatically uploads new photos and videos to GoPro Plus anytime your GoPro (HERO5 or newer) is plugged into a wall charger within range of your home Wi-Fi.
Heads Up: Be sure you’re in range of your home Wi-Fi during setup.
  1. Connect your camera to the GoPro App. If you haven't already paired your camera to to GoPro app, please do that step first. Information on how to pair you camera to the GoPro app is here.
  1. You’ll be given the option to set up Auto Upload. Tap Manage Auto Upload and then Set Up Auto Upload.

  1. Follow the instructions on the app screen to connect your GoPro to your home Wi-Fi.

  1. Exit the app and connect your phone to your home Wi-Fi.

  1. Return to the GoPro app when your phone and camera are connected to your Wi-Fi. Auto Upload should now be ready.

  1. Make sure your camera is off before plugging it into a wall outlet. The upload will start automatically if the battery is at least 70% charged. If not, the upload will start as soon as the battery is charged to 70%. After this first-time setup, your camera won’t need to connect to the app to start Auto Upload.
Uploading through gopro.com
This option lets you upload your photos and videos using any computer.
  1. Go to gopro.com/login and log in to your account.
  1. Use the dropdown menu under your account name to select My Media.

  1. This will take you to the media gallery. Select Add Media in the upper right corner.

  1. This will give you a pop-up window that will let you drag and drop any photos or videos that you want to upload.

Uploading with Quik for Desktop
You can set up Quik for Desktop to automatically copy your photos and videos to your computer and then upload them directly to GoPro Plus.
  1. Go to your GoPro Plus settings, and then select Cloud followed by "Automatically upload media to the cloud."

  1. Your photos and videos will be automatically copied to the Quik for Desktop media gallery whenever you plug your GoPro into your computer. From there, it will be automatically uploaded to GoPro Plus.
    Heads Up: Quik for Desktop will automatically upload all new photos and videos to GoPro Plus. To upload selected files or manually upload your media, use gopro.com.
 
1 GoPro Plus cloud storage does not support content captured with GoPro Fusion.
