Story of Support

Around the world, 80% of amputees live in developing countries, but just 2% of them have access to prosthetic care. The Range of Motion Project (ROMP) believes that these people are not disabled by their missing limb, but by the lack of a prosthesis—a device that could help them unlock their human potential.

At clinics in Guatemala, Ecuador, and Mexico, the ROMP team has supplied thousands of devices to patients in need since 2005. With every fitting, they work to increase the mobility, visibility, and dignity of all those marginalized by lack of access to rehabilitative technology. In some clinics, they use 3D printing and scanning technology, bringing the latest medical breakthroughs to the people who need it most.

ROMP served over 1,000 people last year alone, returning patients to their families and communities as productive, healthy individuals. But the need for their services among those living in poverty with a disability is overwhelming.

Join GoPro in supporting ROMP to provide high quality prosthetic care in underserved populations.
