Reaching GOAT status is an achievement very few athletes can relate to, and those who have, are very humble about it. Travis Rice is one of those athletes. His snowboarding talent is legendary, and his knowledge and respect of backcountry is inspiring. Now, you can see both come together in his latest film, Dark Matter. It’s a full 27 minutes of backcountry bliss.

Travis teamed up with fellow rider Elias Elhardt and director Curt Morgan “for a celebration of space and time during incredibly unique conditions, at the Tordrillo Mountain Lodge in the remote Alaskan backcountry.” You can see a taste of this is the video above, which features outtakes from the GoPro footage Travis gathered throughout the filming.

First teased in early December 2019, we’ve been patiently waiting to see Dark Matter in all its glory, so we’re stoked to have some time on our hands to watch this insane Alaskan backcountry riding.

Dark Matter is available to rent or buy on Amazon.
