Introducing Boom: A Premium Extension Rig Kit

Legend has it that the GoPro media team created a “disappearing pole” mount at one point and coined it the “narwal” mount (inspired by a narwhale). For years GoPro superusers have tried to recreate the magic and, today, we’re here to turn this fairytale into a reality with the release of Boom.

Boom is a premium carbon fiber extension rig kit that can be used on its own or with other compatible mounts to capture amazing new perspectives. The two included arms can be used together or individually to record dramatic follow-cam and other third-person shots while surfing, skating, skiing, biking and more. Each arm features swivel points that let you twist and turn your rig to get the exact capture angle you want. This powerful creative tool also includes a ball-joint camera mount for fine-tuning your shots or totally changing things up on the fly.

1. Boom + Adhesive Mounts can be used on its own or with other compatible mounts to capture amazing new perspectives. ($55.99 for GoPro Subscribers and $69.99 MSRP)

2. Boom + Bar Mount can be easily attached to most round handlebars and seatposts to capture fully immersive bike footage. ($79.99 for GoPro Subscribers and $99.99 MSRP)

3. Boom + Suction Cup can be used to capture ultra immersive shots from inside or outside your vehicle. ($87.98 for GoPro Subscribers and $109.98 MSRP)
