GoPro Ranks No. 1 Large Employer in Outside Mag’s ‘Best Places to Work’

We at GoPro are incredibly honored to be recognized as the No. 1 Large Employer on Outside Magazine’s 50 Best Places to Work in 2021 list. 

Outside Magazine and the Outdoor Industry Association publish the list every year to recognize and celebrate the best U.S.-based employers and their commitment to employee engagement and wellness. 

Ranking No. 1 for large employers (defined by Outside as companies with more than 250 U.S.-based employees), GoPro came in at No. 36 overall on the list. The top 50 companies were recognized following an in-depth exploration of employee benefits, policies, and programs, combined with a survey of employees.

GoPro’s flexible remote work policy helped it land the top spot. Employees can work as much or as little in a physical office as they like and are encouraged to relocate for whatever reason—whether to pursue their life dreams, be closer to family, or otherwise—without sacrificing their current compensation. We’re stoked to say that our U.S. workforce now spans from Hawaii to New York. 

Supporting this recognition is GoPro’s focus on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging and the recent publishing of its 2021 Outdoor CEO Diversity Pledge Report. This is in addition to more employee-focused programs of an unlimited time-off policy and employee-centric wellness benefits.
