World of GoPro

We out here breaking records, AND we’re keeping it in the GoPro Family, specifically the GoPro Snow Team.
We are thrilled to announce that Swedish freestyle shredder Jesper Tjäder has broken the Guinness World Record for the longest rail slide on skis. After 127 attempts, Jesper completed the 154.49-meter (or 506-feet 10.3-inch) rail slide in Åre, Sweden, on a custom metal pipe built precisely for this feat.
Jesper was quoted shortly after by Red Bull saying: “Being the official Guinness World Record holder feels pretty cool. I have dreamt about it since I was a kid. This rail was a hard challenge, and my guess was that it would take about 525 attempts, but it went way easier than I expected.”
Jesper also gave a shoutout to the previous Guinness World Record, and fellow GoPro Snow athlete, Tom Wallisch.
Tom set the previous record in 2016 for sliding an equally insane 129.24 meters (or 424 feet). Tom laid down his record on a fairly sunny spring day at Seven Springs Resort, PA
Congratulations on becoming a Guinness World Record holder, Jesper!
