Nearly 28,000 HERO10 Black clips from 131 countries were for the chance to be featured in the fourth annual Million Dollar Challenge highlight reel. Ultimately, 62 creators made the cut, earning $16,129.03 a piece.
This series celebrates the stories and the creative processes of these talented creators. We hope these behind-the-scenes looks inspire you as much as they did us.
Elliot Grafton understood the assignment, and the filmmaker/photographer delivered in a big way when he submitted to the HERO10 Black Million Dollar Challenge. The result is one insane FPV shot of a massive dirt bike jump, executed beautifully, and immortalized in the final highlight reel.
Elliot says he first started using GoPro with the HERO3+ around 2011, and today he’s graduated to HERO10 Black, which he’s using to capture some of the most epic FPV shots racing around Australia. He’s also not a stranger to submitting to the Million Dollar Challenge, but this year he caught our editor’s attention for “trying something crazy” with his drone.
We caught up with Elliot to learn a little more about what went into his award-winning shot.
GoPro: What motivated you to submit to the Million Dollar Challenge?
Elliot: I’m always up for a challenge!
