Recording time will vary according to the resolution setting used and the card capacity. Here are the average recording storage times for HERO3+ cameras with a 64GB SD card. GoPro Camera File Naming Convention

Here's a table indicating the file-naming convention for various recording types: ‘xxxx’ = DCF file number, from 0001-9999 ‘yyy’ = GoPro “group” number – a group denotes photos that are part of a “group”, such as burst photo shot or a time lapse shot. ‘zz’ = GoPro “chapter” number, from 01-99 – this is the 2nd part of the same video that was forced to split due to file size or other restrictions.

How to Pair the Camera with the GoPro App

To pair your GoPro camera with the GoPro App, please follow these steps: Power on your camera. If you're using an HD HERO2 camera, with both units already powered on, attach the Wi-Fi BacPac to the HD HERO2 camera. Press the Wi-Fi button on the side of the HERO3/HERO3+ camera or Wi-Fi BacPac to go to the Wi-Fi menu. Note - you'll need to press the button two times if you're using the HERO3+ or HERO3 camera.
