In order to use the new features in the latest GoPro App update, it is requires to update your GoPro camera software. If you do not update your camera software you will get a message within the GoPro App that states: "Firmware Update Required". In some cases you may notice that video is choppy when playing back higher resolution videos that have been downloaded through the GoPro App and played back on a phone. Some phones can have a difficult time playing back high resolution video smoothly. The "File Not Supported" message will appear if an individual chapter from a multi-chapter video was deleted on a computer, and an attempt is made for that video to be played back with an LCD Touch BacPac or over HDMI. If you wish to play back footage using an LCD Touch BacPac or over HDMI output the best practice is to not delete individual chapters of a multi-chapter video.
If you are connected to your camera you find the battery percentage level in the Settings menu. You can enter settings by pressing the wrench icon in the lower right of the Command and Control screen.
When the camera preview window flashes green and/or purple, this means that preview has been lost temporarily. Don’t worry though… If camera control or preview is lost, the camera will remain in the last triggered state. When you connect your camera or BacPac to your desktop computer, we recommend that you use a USB port on the back of the computer. USB ports on the back of a computer are more reliable than USB ports on the front. Also, we recommend against connecting to USB ports on keyboards, monitors, and USB hubs.
It should take about 3-5 seconds for the camera to power on once the power button is pressed on the Wi-Fi Remote. If the camera does not power on, check for the following: Make sure that the WiFi BacPac and remote are paired, and that a connection is recognized. Make sure that the camera, Wi-Fi BacPac, and Remote batteries are fully charged. The Lux ratings for the HERO3 and HERO3+ cameras are not something that we have available. We feel that the Lux rating does not provide an accurate picture of the light sensitivity capabilities of the camera, since this is only a rating for the camera sensor, and does not take into account the actual processing of the image by the camera.
