How to Check Your Camera's Software Version

With the newer camera software versions, the camera will briefly show the version number on the camera's front LCD screen upon power it ON. This is the easiest way to determine the version that the camera is running on. Turning Off One Button Mode

If your camera automatically starts taking a video recording upon powering it on, the camera has One Button Mode enabled. This will be indicated by your camera's LCD screen blinking and the red LED blinking on the front of the camera. Computer Not Recognizing the Camera

If you are having trouble getting your computer to recognize your camera please try the following steps:  Restart the computer. Try plugging the cable into the camera and computer with camera off. Make sure the USB cable connection is good on both ends. Make sure you have a SD card inserted into the camera. exFAT Computer Compatibility

If your computer tells you to format your 64 GB MicroSD card every time you connect it to your computer, but your computer won’t actually let you format the card, this means that either the card is defective or your computer doesn’t support the exFAT file system. It’s standard practice for SD card manufacturers to format 64 GB MicroSD cards to exFAT. Using the Camera While Charging

You can simultaneously charge and record with the HD HERO Original, HD HERO2, HERO3, or HERO3+ cameras.  To do this, you can use the supplied USB cable.  Use that to connect your camera to a USB wall charger or auto charger that outputs 5V and 1A.  You cannot record while the camera is connected to a computer.  

HERO3 and HERO3+ Continuous Photo Mode Information

Continuous Photo mode allows you to capture a series of Photos continuously while holding down the Shutter button until you release the shutter button, or until the camera has taken 30 photos. With the Black Edition, Continuous Photos can be taken in the following: 3 photos every 1 second (3 SPS) 5 photos every 1 second (5 SPS) 10 photos every 1 second (10 SPS) Note: Your camera will remain in the Continuous Photo mode until you return it to the Single photo capture setting option.
