Wi-Fi Remote Range: The Wi-Fi Remote can control cameras up to 600 feet away under optimal conditions. GoPro App Range: This depends on the smartphone/tablet device that is being used. Contact your device's manufacturer to find out information on Wi-Fi capability for your particular device.

How to Prevent Wind Noise on Videos

If you find that you are picking up too much wind noise in your recording, there are several things you can do to minimize this: When you don't need the camera to be waterproof and are traveling under 100MPH, you can use the open back housing door. The File Repair Icon is Displayed on the Camera

What's the issue? If you see a picture of a bicycle and a plus sign (+) on your camera’s screen, or a bandage (HERO4), that’s the file repair icon. This means that your file was corrupted during filming for some reason. While the icon is showing on the screen, press ANY BUTTON on the camera, and the camera will repair the file. How to Clean the Camera Lens

All of the cameras’ lenses are cleaned before they leave the factory. Sometimes a thin purple film can be seen on the lens. If this occurs, it just means that our cleaning solution wasn’t wiped off all the way. There’s an easy way to remove it.
