Using the Camera While Charging

You can simultaneously charge and record with the camera. To do this, you can use the supplied USB cable. Use that to connect your camera to a USB wall charger or auto charger that outputs 5V and 1A. You cannot record while the camera is connected to a computer.

Type of Battery Used In the HD HERO Cameras

The HD HERO kits include a rechargeable lithium ion battery pack. The battery is charged directly through the USB cable when connected from the camera to a computer or USB wall/car power adapter. The battery pack is designed specifically for use in the HD HERO camera and the rigorous activities that it is put through. 

HD HERO 960 Camera Resolutions and Frame Rates

The HD HERO 960 camera films in the following resolutions: 960p = 1280x960 pixels (4:3) @ 30 FPS 720p = 1280x720 pixels (16:9) @ 30 FPS WVGA = 848x480 pixels (16:9) @ 60 FPS  

All of the Icons are Blinking on the HD HERO Original

If all of the shooting mode icons are blinking repeatedly on your HD HERO Original camera, it is to indicate that you have the UPd (upside down) image capture mode setting selected.The UPd mode should only be used when recording with the camera upside down, in order to have the recorded image automatically flipped upright.  If recording with the camera upright, please be sure to go into the settings menu and select the UP image capture setting.
