“WORLD OF ADVENTURE SPORTS” JOINS ALLI SPORTS AS NEWEST PROPERTY

GoPro Inks Multi-Year Deal As Presenting Sponsor of NBC’s World of Adventure Sports

New York, NY – April 17, 2013 – Alli Sports, a division of the NBC Sports Group, announced today a strategic partnership with executive producers 360 Ventures for the Emmy Award-winning television series, World of Adventure Sports (WOAS). The program, which is currently broadcast on NBC, NBC Sports Network and Universal Sports, will see expanded cross-promotion, and digital and international distribution as part of the Alli Sports family.

In conjunction with today’s announcement, GoPro has signed a multi-year deal to be the presenting sponsor of World of Adventure Sports. GoPro, maker of the world’s most versatile camera and producer of some of today’s most engaging content, is uniquely suited to be an innovative partner of World of Adventure Sports. GoPro will be fully integrated into the content through their athletes and use of the GoPro HERO3 cameras for in-broadcast shots.

“We’re excited to enhance our adventure sports offerings with the addition of World of Adventure Sports to the Alli property roster,” said Eric Grilly, President of Alli Sports. “The marquee series and the partnership provide Alli the opportunity to cultivate new audiences within action sports.”

“The partnership between GoPro and NBC’s World of Adventure Sports not only offers unique athlete perspectives and on-board angles, but it also enhances the viewers’ experience of the show, bringing them to closer to locations, events and sports they have never seen before. We’re thrilled to be aligned with such an acclaimed series and look forward to collaborating on the project for seasons to come,” said Wil Tidman, Head of Production for GoPro.

World of Adventure Sports captures athletes pushing boundaries and testing the limits of what is possible in some of the world’s most extraordinary places. From world record attempts to first ascents to expeditions in the far corners of the planet, WOAS has been on the front lines for many of the biggest moments in adventure sports.

“We couldn’t be more excited to be part of NBC’s Alli Sports division and to be working with GoPro, a brand so integral to the sports and athletes we showcase,” said Rufus Frost, Managing Director, 360 Ventures. “The partnership model we’ve put in place has all parties aligned, vested and committed for the long-term, which is ideal. We look forward to building the next chapter of World of Adventure Sports with our new partners.”

Together with Alli and GoPro, the show will broadcast the world’s most compelling action and adventure sports content, with enhanced GoPro production. The partnership will add further distribution and promotion across NBC Sports’ wide-ranging broadcast platforms, and will roll World of Adventure Sports into Alli’s expansive digital network. GoPro will also be creating lifestyle content to supplement the show.

World of Adventure Sports will continue to be produced by 360 Productions, a subsidiary of 360 Ventures, under the direction of the partnership. For more information visit www.worldofadventuresports.com and check out www.allisports.com for new content.
