Summertime – GoPro Style!

Half Moon Bay, Ca. (June 3, 2011) – Summer is here and it is time for some outdoor fun. From action sports camps to outdoor sports festivals – here are a few places that GoPro will be this summer.

GoPro is stoked to be an official sponsor of the Teva Mountain Games, the country’s largest celebration of adventure sports, music and mountain lifestyle in Vail, CO June 2-5, 2011. The event will be composed of professional and amateur outdoor adventure athletes from the Vail Valley and around the world and will connect on the mountains and rivers of Vail to compete in eight sports and 23 disciplines including: x-country, freeride, slopestyle and road cycling, freestyle, 8-Ball, sprint and extreme kayaking, raft cross, World Cup Bouldering, stand up paddle sprint and surf cross, as well as trail, mud and road running, dog comps and the GNC Ultimate Mountain Challenge.

GoPro will also be partnering with Outside in Aspen, happening June 10-12, 2011. Elite athletes and Outside personalities will be joining enthusiasts for adrenaline-filled activities and epic parties. Activities include rafting, kayaking, climbing, standup paddle boarding, mountain biking, road biking, rock climbing, hiking and fly fishing.

Attention Campers!

GoPro is stoked to be the official camera used in the 2011 Summer Gravity Camps held in Whistler. People from all over the world who want to ride in the world-famous Whistler Mountain Bike Park and be coached by the best athletes in the industry, including GoPro professional rider and SGC Director, Andrew Sandro, have the opportunity to ride with past and present World Cup and National Downhill champions, Slopestyle winners and featured athletes. Campers will work on improving their riding technique, learning new skills, and meeting great people from all around the world that share the same passion for riding during the best week-long experience imaginable.

GoPro is also heading to Camp Woodward. GoPro cameras will be available for campers in the Video Labs at each camp to use to capture the action from the amazing action sports facilities that the Woodward camps have to offer. Stay tuned for some exciting contests and videos
