GoPro Signs on as Official Camera Sponsor of the SWATCH Freeride World Tour by The North Face

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH/LAUSANNE, SWITZERLAND (November 15, 2012)- The SWATCH Freeride World Tour by The North Face is thrilled to announce its newest tour partner, GoPro, maker of the world’s most versatile cameras and producer of today’s most engaging content. Founded by Nicholas Woodman, GoPro is arguably the most advanced HD line of wearable and gear-mountable cameras and accessories, namely with the latest release of the new HERO3 camera line.

In addition to course previews, selected SWATCH Freeride World Tour by The North Face competitors will be equipped with the new HERO3 camera and mounting accessories during their competition runs. GoPro footage from actual competitor runs will be integrated into the broadcast coverage of these events. These athlete perspectives are a first for the Freeride World Tour and will provide viewers with a unique and never before seen view of what it looks like to compete in the SWATCH Freeride World Tour.
