GoPro Joins Winter X Games Tignes 2012

GoPro to Produce Course Previews for ESPN Broadcasts with the GoPro Snow Team

HALF MOON BAY, CA (March 13, 2012) – GoPro, maker of the world’s most versatile cameras and producer of some of today’s most immersive and engaging programming, travels to its first ever European Winter X Games in Tignes, France March 14th – 16th, 2012. GoPro will be onsite to support its world-class team of athletes and capture in-action perspectives of the competition, alongside ESPN.


GoPro will produce exclusive videos for both online and ESPN television broadcasts including ‘GoPro Course Previews’, which show viewers the competition from the athletes’ perspectives. GoPro cameras’ small size and mount-anywhere design enables ESPN and GoPro to visually immerse fans into the experience of the X Games like never before.

GoPro’s Snow Team athletes competing in the 2012 European Winter X Games Tignes will include: Shaun White, competing in Snowboard Slopestyle and Superpipe and Eric Willett, in Snowboard Slopestyle. Hannah Teter will be competing in Snowboard Superpipe and Jamie Anderson, in Snowboard Slopestyle. Tom Wallisch will be competing in Ski Slopestyle while Tucker Perkins, in Ski Superpipe.

GoPro will also be onsite with fun activities for fans including giveaways and video displays of the latest content at Winter X Games.
