Follow the Action of the Red Bull X-Alps

The Red Bull X-Alps is often referred to as the toughest adventure race in the world. Highly trained athletes endure the harshest weather conditions, physical exhaustion and prove what a tremendous force sheer willpower can be.

On their journey from Salzburg in Austria to Monaco, they cross some of the highest peaks in Europe and travel approximately 630 miles using nothing but a paraglider and their own two feet. While no technical or outside assistance is allowed, every athlete is bringing his GoPro HERO3 camera along to document the race of their lives from a unique and intimate perspective. The footage they collect is truly exceptional, watch out for the edits to drop soon.

Testimonials

Mark Burnett, five-time Emmy award winner and avid GoPro customer, said in a previous statement, "We have used GoPro cameras in some of our biggest productions, like Survivor and The Bible. GoPro has allowed us to capture and share fascinating new perspectives that previously weren’t possible or were too costly, which in the end makes for better story telling. We are always excited to see what GoPro is working on next."

"In a world of smartphones and increasingly small cameras, GoPro is still the film fans device of choice and the rugged gadget that will launch the careers of many future directors.
